From the beautiful view of Mount Meru captured at Arusha National Park on day 1, to the endless plains of the Serengeti, explore the adventures of an African wildlife safari through camping. With the evenings decorated by professional chefs making delicious meals everyday, Hakuna Matata!
Arusha National Park is one of the smaller parks, but certainly a nice park. It is often skipped by the tourists who go to larger parks, while it is a beautiful park with beautiful scenery and a large population of animals. The park is 137 km2 and is divided into three parts: Mount Meru, Ngurdoto Crater and Momella Lakes. After a game drive through the park you will do a guided walking safari. On foot you can enjoy giraffes, buffalo and other animals from a good distance. At the end of the day we bring you to Green Mountain Hotel.
Today we pick you up from your hotel in (or around) Arusha. During the 2,5 hour drive you will enjoy the beautiful nature and landscapes. Tarangire is famous for its large number of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. At the end of the day we arrive at Africa Safari Camp where you can relax at the pool and enjoy panoramic views of the Rift Valley.
On this day we go to Lake Manyara. This park is known for its breath taking panoramic views, waterfalls, babbling brooks with clear water and hot springs. We will do a game drive there all morning and after lunch you’ll start the walking safari inside the park. At the end of the day we go to Africa Safari Camp where you'll sleep in the tent with normal beds and the chef will prepare a delicious meal for you.
On day 4, we are visiting the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. The Hadzabe (Bushmen) will teach us many things like how to make a fire by using two dry sticks. Also they will show us how to use a bow and arrows, collecting some tubers, roots and fruits with the women or you will join the men for hunting. After lunch we visit the Datoga tribe, who resemble the Maasai culture. These people are natural blacksmith, and we will observe as they make weapons such as arrowheads and knives which they trade with the Bushmen. We will also learn on how they grind maize with stones, how they melt bras, cooper or aluminum. After the adventures of the day, we overnight at Lake Eyasi Campsite.
Today we leave after breakfast and head towards the Serengeti. As soon as we arrive in Serengeti we a start the game drive until sunset. The Serengeti is known for its endless plains of savannah and forest landscapes. The park is famous for the migration involving about 1.5 million herbivores and followers. Thousands of predators are moving because of the drought in the northern hills to the southern plains. At the end of the day we arrive at Nyani campsite in central Serengeti where the guide will set up the tents and the chef will prepare you dinner. On Day 6 we do a full day game drive in Serengeti and overnight at Nyani/Lobo Campsite.
On this day, we start with an early morning game drive in Serengeti until lunch time. In the afternoon we will be heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where we overnight at Simba Campsite where the chef will prepare dinner and the guide as sets up the tent for you.
We wake up early in the morning and after breakfast we drive into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. The crater life estimated 30,000 larger mammals. In the afternoon, we will be on our way back to Arusha where we arrive before dinner.
